When you first call for yourself, a friend, or your child, our receptionist will schedule an initial appointment. We also see patients on a walk-in basis. However, patients with appointments have priority over walk-in patients.

During your initial visit, the dentist will conduct a thorough examination in order to determine the general health of your teeth and gums. We will discuss specific treatment recommendations before proceeding.

First time consultation may include the following when necessary:

1. Full mouth charting
2. Measurement of Periodontal pocketing
3. Mobility charting
4. Furcation charting
5. X-rays when needed to check for decay and bone loss
6. Vitality tests
7. Plaque disclosing solution to show “old” plaque, “new” plaque and “caries producing plaque”.
8. Study models are sometimes required so that the dentist can better treatment plan.

The dentist, after careful deliberation, will develop a treatment plan and also different options available given the patient’s dental status, medical history and social history.
