Impacted Wisdom Teeth
The removal of impacted (buried) wisdom teeth may be necessary if they cause pain or if you are unable to clean them adequately. If tooth decay develops, the tooth in front of it (the second molar) may become involved and compromised. A dental panoramic x-ray scan can easily pick up this problem. Minor impaction can usually be removed with a surgery under local anaesthesia in the dental office.
