Dr Ong graduated with a B.D.S from the National University of Singapore in 1987 and a MDSc in Orthodontics from University of Queensland, Australia. His artistic bent and love for interacting with people allow him to fully enjoy his calling for the dental profession.

In treating his patients, Dr Ong emphasizes the need to ensure that the treatment plan is best suited for the patient. His philosophy is "to do the best possible job with the least pain and cost and in the best interests of the patient, and ultimately doing no harm. To enjoy life! "

A father himself, Dr Ong enjoys interacting with children as "with children there is a innocence and joy in them". He also treats adults and recommends that anyone can undergo orthodontic treatment as long as one has healthy teeth, although the best time to do so is during puberty. Dr Ong is warm and friendly, a joy to talk to and someone who will put any patient at ease.

Outside of work he actively pursues life, clocking 150 hours of scuba diving and recently taking his other passion, photography down with him to the deep blue. A self-confessed techy, he is also sporty and enjoys sailing and playing tennis. One thing he regrets? Not being able to explore his love for literature, having read his way through Greek classics, biographies and war sagas.
